Take the quiz: "Which Random Irish Gaelic Phrase Are You? "

Is maith liom bananai
Is maith liom bananai - "I like bananas." You're laid-back and you enjoy the simple things in life. Some might say you're a little too laid-back. Just what is it you're smoking, anyway?

We woke up yesterday feeling rather slothful. I had thought it might be keen to go to the Austin Farmer's Market and then the 'gigantic blow-out sale' at a new-age bookstore in south Austin. Brenda expressed interest in going, so we called her up and invited her along to breakfast buffet at Trudy's. The migas were especially jalapeno-y, and Brenda and I are both wimps when it comes to heat like that! But it was still a good meal with good conversation.

We spent enough time chatting that we decided to skip the farmer's market (which closes at 1) and just headed to the store instead. Their sale was actually disappointing; the ad made it sound like 'everything must go!' but it was really only about, oh, 10% of the stuff in the store. Plus, I also wanted to see my friend Cathy who works there but she was not working that day. Oh well; I got a cheap cross stitch kit and an interesting book on chakras and archetypes. We headed home and Brenda took off, and hub decided to take a nap. I puttered around but eventually succumbed to nap-time also. We had a slow afternoon and evening of Buffy and Angel episodes, some hot tub, and then lots of fun shagging.

I woke up early this morning, feeling like something was really wrong with my left hip joint. I can't figure out what, I didn't do anything strenuous but I could not get comfortable so I went ahead and limped into the shower. I feel like hammered crap on only 5 hours of not very good sleep at this point, and being at work doesn't help. It's going to be one of those really slow days where I'm tempted to burn some leave and go home early, but I need to resist that temptation. Wednesday hub's mother and I'll be visiting Mom to clear off some big furniture that she's giving away, and to help her with some packing. Brö has been helping a little on his Saturday visits, but she has said that she feels overwhelmed and can't believe how much crap she's accumulated over the past several years.

Then the following week is the big move- loading everything up on the truck on either Wednesday or Thursday, getting her to Austin after that happens, then flying out on Friday. squick )

New Religion Creation
'New Age Text'

From the most minty regions of the spiritual plane, I have channeled the disembodied spirit of Carl Sagan, bringing to you the wisdom and fiefdom of the lost city of Austin. To usher in the New Age of cranberries you must heed my words and dodge slowly. The time is soon when the space chariots of our galactic cousins will return and our collective frangrantness will reach critical mass. The highest frequencies of the universe will spiral through the duodenum chakras of the worthy, and our 3rd cloaca shall be opened. But first we must look deep inside and accept our inner hand axe. We must feel the inner hand axe, become the inner hand axe, squirt it as though it was a leafcutter ant. We must accept our karmic past, and, as our yogi master, Rex, always says 'The true form of a teething ring is actually a low-carb nose flute , but enlightenment is like a ponderous dingus on the wind'. For there is no right or wrong, no palm frond or anti-palm frond, only one great and omnipresent air vent.
