May. 14th, 2004 11:30 amWeird, it's 64 degrees. My little weather Eric on my user info page has a jacket on. In May. In Texas. Well, I met Kirby's SO last night and he said something along the lines about how it's been 'unseasonably reasonable'. It stormed last night, so I haven't heard from Greg, and I assume we're not working on the fence today, even though I think it's supposed to clear up. Oh well, it's still a mud pit. The only thing I worry about is unless we do it all tomorrow, he's going to be on his own if he wants to work on it anytime Sunday through Wednesday; I have to work through Tuesday and Wed. Nona and I are going to Bryan to help Mom pack. He said he could manage if that had to happen, but I feel kinda bad about it.
Speaking of Kirby's SO, his name is Michael. We'd been teasing Kirby about making him up, which reminded me of when hub and I were first dating and he wanted to put a picture of me on a popsicle stick to show his friends so they didn't think he'd made me up. Anyway, we went to Zorba's for dinner and then to Amy's to see Michael's art, but more to just continue hanging out. He was not especially talkative, and of course neither was hub, so Kirby and I ended up talking a lot about our jobs. I'm hoping we can hang out some more because he seems like a neat person and maybe I can find that trigger to get him to talking. He and Kirby seem to get along really well and I didn't get any ax murderer vibes from him, so I approve.
Tonight, we play D&D. I think I'm going to try to clean house. My muscles are not quite so sore and there's still a bunch of tracked-in mud to sweep up, plus the papers and mail and stuff is getting way out of hand.
