Tycho Talk

Having eyeballs and the desire to put lovely things in front of them, I have some photo and art journals bookmarked. The stuff in them is not always lovely, but a lot of it's interesting. Some of them are random. One of my favorites is by a friend of mine. A couple feature sex (NSFW!). And I found one today that's all about the love (definitely work-safe). Here's one of my favorite pics from it.



I'll often save my favorite ones. I have many folders of pictures that I thumb through periodically. One for humor. One for cute (lots of kittens, many puppies, probably an equal number of babies and snakes, and random other otters, trees, bugs, bunnies, and other cute things). One entitled 'gay stuff' which is really mostly pictures that feature rainbows, but I kept labeling those pics 'gay crayons' and 'gay balloons' and so on, so the folder got gayed up too. One for space photos (most of them via APOD). And one called 'crushes and eye candy' which started off as pics of celebrities I like (Jeff Buckley, Jon Stewart, &c.) and including a small subfolder called 'Naked friends' (yeah, I still have pics of some of you naked!). Lately it's been getting a lot of just pretty pics of people, singly and multiples, doing anything from holding hands to sodomizing each other. Common themes: smiling, men with really great eyebrows, people snuggling in bed together, people laughing while they're having sex.

If I understand this correctly, this woman has a friend with breast cancer. So she takes a little breast cancer awareness teddy bear and photographs famous people holding it, then auctions the pics and gives the money to a breast cancer charity. I heard about it from an on-line comic I read, and the author's one of the pics (RK Milholland in a typical photo, based on his comic). Some of the others are quite amusing, cool, or scary.

Well, a probably not exhaustive web search has determined that people that write cute pet stories are often barely literate, filling the page with treacly glurge, irritating animated gifs and awful MIDIs of 'Wind Beneath My Wings.' Maybe I'll just look at Yuebing's site. She's Oolong the Pancake Bunny's successor, and while the author might be filling the site with glurge it's in Japanese so it looks cool.
