Napalm blast from the past
Apr. 18th, 2017 01:32 pmWow.
The summer between my freshman and sophomore years in college (1987) I worked at a corn dog place in the mall in Kerrville (yes, the mall). It was a horrible job, and on my breaks I'd go to an arcade next door and play this terribly violent pinball game that was Vietnam war-themed. Like, the sound effects were machine guns and bombs exploding, and the three bumper things were little thatched-roof huts that you could napalm if you made some special moves. It was very cathartic. Anyway, I mentioned this to JD probably five years ago, and he has been looking for this ever since, and finally found it. It's as violent as I remember. I remember that soldier on the front display like an old friend. I got a lot of aggression out with that game. It's probably directly responsible for preventing the murder of a manager of a corn dog place.
