So I stayed home Sunday due to feeling like hammered doo-doo, and had jury duty yesterday. I was planning to be good and go back to work if things got completed quickly. It turns out this was just assignment to a specific court for jury selection. So we all go to this huge warehouse-looking place, fill out the same questionnaire that we already filled out, and line up based on what dates we were available. I was assigned to a municipal court case on 8/18 (a Tuesday! Yay! More time off work!) and was out of there by about 10am. I went home, and wasn't feeling up to snuff, so I had a bit to eat and took a nap.

I didn't wake up 'til about 6pm. So much for going back to work.

I have been feeling really stuffed up (solid, not a runny nose) and fatigued, so perhaps I'm fighting some kind of summer cold. I'm at work today, but even though I got all that sleep yesterday and went to bed at my regular time, I still feel tired. I also had a lot of really, really weird dreams (e.g., Bette Midler in a rope dress *shudder*) which I often have when I'm ill... they're actually kind of entertaining in their total off-the-wall strangeness.

I'm glad I only work one day this week. I'm glad the days are getting shorter. I'm glad our hot tub is fixed.

I want a nap.

I think I've finally managed to put my finger on why I dislike Silver Ravenwolf. It's because she is to Wicca what Thomas Kinkade is to art. If there are any among you who doubt, read this [edit: the moderator pulled the plug on the entry since it was a long passage out of one of her books and there was concern about fair use]. Loved by The Masses (tm), glurgy, pumping out an 'opus' every couple months. Ecch.
