This one seems accurate, despite the bad grammar... and I usually only post the accurate ones )

Yesterday was looking a little shaky for a visit to the lake. A storm rolled through about noon, but the radar showed no stragglers, so Bob, hub and I headed out around 3.

We arrived and met Ellen with some other regulars at a place called Radio Rock. Supposedly someone often brings a radio to listen to, but fortunately this was not the case. This park is Hippie Hollow, if I didn't mention it earlier, which is the only clothing-optional public park in Texas (maybe in the US). So I got nekkid quickly, being one of those people who as a kid was always wanting to run around naked. It was cloudy, but there was practically no breeze and very little traffic on the lake. When I clambered down the rocks and got in the water, I was thrilled that I wasn't having to struggle against crashing waves caused by a million and one speed boats. The water was very clear and green, like in Hamilton Pool (which we've sadly been unable to go to this year so far) but much warmer. There were tons of fish, everything from small minnows to catfish over a foot long. The minnows especially liked to nibble on you if you stayed still too long, but I have leet floating skillz due to my BMI, so I solved this by always treading water rather than sitting on a rock. Between that and the mostly still water, it would be nearly impossible for me to drown in that lake. I swam all over the place- out to the edge of the swimming area (marked by buoys) twice, and one long trip hugging the 'shore' with my goggles so I could peer at all the fishies. I had a blast.

Hub, on the other hand, did not have such a great time. He and Bob played Go for awhile, then Bean showed up and they both went nuts throwing rocks into the lake and hollering. Hub has never been a very outgoing guy, which is no crime, but one of the regulars was harassing him for not getting naked enough and not getting into the water (he was out there more for the nature and doesn't love to swim like I do). She probably was flirting with him, but it just made him feel more outcast, and he was ready to leave when I finally came ashore. As someone who gets twitchy in social situations myself, I felt bad for abandoning him (we have a deal- if we go to a party, we stick together). We talked about it afterwards and cleared things up. Then the 4 of us (Bob and Bean) went to Zorba's for yummy Greek food.

Bean talked to the vaguely Christian-Slater-looking cute waiter (all the male waiters at Zorba's make me think impure thoughts) and even though he's been our waiter a zillion times she talked to him more than we ever did. I guess being extraverted has some advantages. It turns out he lived in England until he was 7, then came here. He's also mostly deaf but gets by on lip-reading. He seems to have a pert little blond girlfriend, too, ah well. The food was stupendously excellent as always. I think I will have some now, in fact, since we had leftovers. Yay!

I must go in for a stoopid work training at 1, then a lady is coming over to look at the car. She seems eager to get into it, and I'm eager to sell too, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Then, dinner with Mom who's in town for a conference thing.
