I don’t update as much now that I’m trying to keep my surfing at work to a minimum. Woe is I.
We spent most of the weekend besieged by all the work on the house. But it’s pretty much finished; they’re going to put some final touches on the paint and fix the roof up today, I’m told. If you want an idea of the color scheme, and run Windows, set your display properties to ‘Spruce’ in Windows Classic and you’ll get the idea- the dark green background is the color of the trim and the lightest green shade is about the color of the house- the house is perhaps a bit lighter. Oh, but you know there will be pictures. The door is a lovely dark green. If you saw the house before all this started, you’d be amazed at how it looks now.
Not much else went on; Eric had Monday off and except for a short visit from Brö it was pretty quiet.
I went to Content’s to take advantage of her post-Flipside massage-athon, and enjoyed chatting with her and her buddies. Her massaging buddy whose name eludes me was extremely strong; she concentrated on my neck and shoulders and I had to tell her to ease up since it was painful. They still feel a little spongy, but in a good way.
The fast is moving along. It’s been more challenging than I thought to be unobtrusive about this (and that’s going to get more difficult); all restaurants aren’t as veggie friendly as I had assumed they’d be. I’ve had to make some clarifications on how to do the fast (is an onion a spice or a vegetable, stuff like that), but that’s part of why I decided to do this anyway.
I’m doing e-reports at work. I really love doing them. They make work much easier to tolerate. I haven’t found a lot of work-at-home stuff; the one place I was holding out for doesn’t have any openings. The google-fu job just started to seem suspicious, and the one Amanda got wants a minimum commitment of 20 hours a week and a resume; I don’t have a resume and I was wanting a maximum of 20 hours a week so I’m not sure about them. I guess I need to get a resume together.
Now that it’s getting hot, I think a visit to the lake is in order. Perhaps Monday or Tuesday I’ll go.
