So they did a couple of coats of seal in the kitchen, no more color. It looks fantastic. They did another coat of blue in the living room/etc, and to me it's now a murky bluish-grey. There are still some sloppy parts too, I'm guessing finish-up is today. All in all, I'm sort of neutral to the whole thing, combining 'great kitchen!' with 'cold, industrial living area.' Some rugs, some throw pillows... it'll get better.

We went to Home Despot to get some stuff, and as usual ended up wandering around for a long time fantasizing about all the things we'd like to do. It was weird, but both of us suddenly felt really pooped so we went home. As we were driving, I kept thinking that I was really thirsty and couldn't wait to get home and get some water in me. I was so shagged out I almost felt like passing out. Then hub mentioned that he was also really thirsty, which was very odd. Home Despot must have some mother of a dehumidifier in there to sap the will of their customers. Well, we left without buying everything we'd set out for, so take that! It was so strange- after a glass of water I gained back a whole bunch of energy and ended up playing with a new program.

Glidden put out another 'paint your house' cd- but this time, included a feature where you can take a picture of your own room and paint the walls to see what it looks like so we picked it up. We have the first one and it was pretty clunky but still a lot of fun. We have the loan of FIL's very nice digital camera and snapped some pics of my computer room, what we plan to make into our trippy room, and the living room. Then we got to slapping all different sorts of colors on everything. Hub and I both seem to like bright, saturated colors. Our place is going to look really different when we're finally done with it.

Hub bit the bullet and asked his former employer (Computer Nerdz) if they needed another Nerd. Apparently they said they'd be 'delighted' to have him back- which is fortunate. We won't starve, and he may be in a good bargaining position since they won't have to train him. They also started paying for trips, and got some better management so perhaps it won't be as bad for him. We were both hoping he could drum up enough work that this wouldn't be necessary, but when you fix people's computers so that they don't break anymore, you sort of screw yourself out of regular business. It sucks to be the best. :)
