The pool is beautiful. I think I've finally gotten the hang of chemicaling it so that it stays clear, and it's been a joy to swim in. I love my pool.

One of hub's clients loaned him a projector that they've been leasing but not using. After I had a swim and hub had a float, he set it up. Man! In moving furniture around, we have a large blank wall that made a perfect projection screen. Hub indulged me, and we watched Dave Matthews videos. How cool! Dave Matthews bigger than life! Then we invited Colin and Bean over, and they brought over 'Shallow Hal'. The message was supposedly that beauty was on the inside, but really it said the opposite. Bleh. Shallow guy is tricked into liking fat chick by thinking she looks beautiful, and of course she's grateful for any attention from any man. *roll eyes*

I let a screen door slam into my heel and it took a quarter-sized (and thickness) chunk of flesh off. Owie, owie, ow!

The aquarium is too hot, so I've been having a lot of fun freezing distilled water and dropping the ice cubes in the tank. They melt in almost no time, but before they do the betta likes to bump them around with his nose. I'm almost positive that when the floor's done they will go downstairs where it's cooler, though I've enjoyed having them in the bedroom. It's been nice feng shui.

Now, for the inspiration for 2 designs I plan to put in my computer room:

I'm gonna attempt to paint these, using the projector, on pieces of wood sprayed with spray-rock. This one is Bennu, the Egyptian phoenix. Cuz I like phoenices, and I like Egyptian stuff, yo. Dunno if I'm going to leave the chick in there or not.

Here's Tehuti, commonly known as Thoth, the Egyptian god of wisdom and writing. I would like to put him by my printer. Note his lack of eye and writing implement; I plan to fix that. They're all stippley because we over-sharpened it for the projection.

Oh, yeah. We've borrowed my husband's from work on occasion and used it to watch DVDs on a blank wall. Godzilla was really great.

The new one? It'd be fun to see an old one too, I bet, or a Gamera movie.
