Today was much more pleasant. I didn't sleep worth a damn, but that is not just my sleeping all the day before- Eric was tossing and snoring and coughing all night too. But I made myself get up at 11am, and had more Airborne, and after a bit of breakfast I was ready to visit Antares for some mehndi. Sadly, I am losing my mind and arrived at the wrong time. She being used to this (at least I got the right day this time) was still happy to chat and do a small design, basically a test run for the tattoo I'm thinking of getting. She saran-wrapped me up and sent me on my way.
I sent off John's birthday present, oh again after thinking his birthday was a week later than it was. Man, this not being a control freak is making me lose my sense of time or something. But he said it was just as well that I called him then (last night, this was), since he was "incoherent" on his actual birthday. He had belly-dancers surrounding him and bands playing and poi spinners spinning and "a hundred or two hundred folks" coming by to celebrate with him. I can only hope I am so well-loved someday. He and his grove had all just got out of Full Moon ritual, and he held the phone up and said "everyone say hi to Stacy in Austin!" and I heard a crowd of "hi!"s which was so sweet of John. He's such a class act.
I also got a bit of Christmas shopping done, and limited myself to 1/12 of the fruit cake I got. Jeezus that stuff is bad for the diet, but it's so delicious.
Anyway, I am feeling a lot better and think I kicked this thing already. So I'll be all fresh for work tomorrow! Woo-hoo!
