Wedding ring is found!
I looked all over work, all over the house. Didn't find it. Then, started sorting out the laundry and found it there. Apparently the cat found it on the floor near the computer, thought 'ooh, shiny thing!' and batted it across the linoleum into the laundry room.
Whew.
