Ikea is hiring. They give full medical and dental coverage for people working at least 20 hours a week, plus paid maternity/paternity leave, tuition assistance, a matched 401(k), and paid vacation time. Not to mention big discounts on their stuff. If the idea of working at the new Ikea in Round Rock did not fill me with pants-wetting terror of customer service hell, I might be tempted. Those wacky Europeans and their reasonable treatment of their employees.
Anyone know why they write it 'IKEA' as opposed to 'Ikea'? Is it some Swedish acronym?
It's slow at work. Or more accurately, I am slow at work. I long for the weekend.
I am amused by the fact that the smart-ass here at work who is coordinating one aspect of our move to the new building is referring to it as 'Project Mayhem'. Ha!
