Well, my reinstall seems to be complete.
I kept getting 'you're running low on disk space, you pack-rat! Do something!' love notes from my computer. So Eric decided I needed to get better stuff in my computer. So, he got me set up with a 300G hard drive and another 512 megabytes of RAM. Or something. And a fresh installation of Windows. So, basically rebuilding all the shit I had from the ground up in many ways. It's been a huge pain in the ass, and next time I do this I'm going to save a screen shot of my desktop so I'll remember all the crap I had on there. Yeah, you'd think after looking at it every day for the last 3 years or so would mean I memorized it pretty well, but apparently not.
I shouldn't sound so pissy, I just am not as wise in the ways of these things as I could be, and it makes me feel like a bit of a dunce, which makes me cranky. Adding to the crankiness factor is the 'change in established routine' effect, which, while obviously not being any sort of Earth-shattering upheaval in my life, is still a little disruptive. So I'm spending some time getting everything just so and getting used to the new stuff. Included, if you're interested in such things, is a much better planetary hours calculator than the one I had previously:
Chronos XP
...and the latest edition of Lunabar looks pretty sharp, and even if you think astrology is all bullshit you can configure it to show primarily astronomical information:
Lunabar
