Okay, I know we're all a bunch of gun nuts here in the States. But this news story from England, while being hysterically funny (esp. the pictures) makes me wonder... "Knife crime will only get worse if we don't introduce a five-year mandatory sentence for anyone carrying a knife." Does that really mean *anyone* carrying any knife? Just walking down the street? What about athames? Seems a little overboard to me.

I'm still giggling inside though. "Local Insp Mac McGarry wielded the sword, which he said had been sharpened to kill. He said: "It is a particularly nasty weapon which could easily take someone's head off."" Well, yeah! You can't set a batleth on 'stun.' Klingons are serious shit; do not fuck with them. They're meaner than ninjas and pirates and Chuck Norris and whatever the next bad-ass interweb trend is.

We had Klingons at Faire this year. Lovely people, really. Just don't get too many beers into them.
