Something's definitely not right. Until recently I was having a period with mild cramping every 3-6 months (I had an endometrial ablation a couple of years ago). Last month, you may recall, I had horrific cramps. This month, again. They started yesterday evening, and got so bad I couldn't stand straight. The only thing that seemed to help was sitting on the floor cross-legged and rolling my waist around. I did this for about an hour like an autistic and tried to go to bed. The cramps got so bad, I went downstairs thinking I was going to throw up, and ended up falling asleep in the bathroom. I got up and crashed on the couch, then woke up again and they were gone, so I went back upstairs to bed. Slept OK, but the cramps woke me up again about a half-hour ago. I can't stand this.
I am a goddamn idiot. I went to my doctor at the tail end of all this last month, and she wrote me a referral to go to my old OB-GYN. Of course, since by the time I got the referral I wasn't cramping, I didn't go. Oh, I called a couple of times, but they were always at lunch or closed (they close at 4, apparently) so I didn't push it. I think I was afraid they'd want to do a pelvic ultrasound; I hated getting that before. If it would get me away from this pain, I'd have 5 of them at this point.
