So, anyway, what did I do for my long weekend? A whole lot of nuthin', that's what! I cleaned up a little. On Thursday we had our Full Moon shindig and went to Wan Fu for good Chinese food, though Gordon yelled at the waiter. He's awfully hard on waitstaff, and I can't stand it sometimes. Oh, well. Bro was even more unhappy, because he eats there all the time; he mentioned later that he went back later to apologize.
We saw a couple of movies... we rented 'Zoolander' which is hysterical. I grabbed 'Swimming with Sharks' which was disturbing... it had Kevin Spacey as this horrible bastard of a Hollywood boss, and the guy who was Brett in Pulp Fiction as his abused assistant. I thought it was gonna be like 'Office Space' but it was much darker. Eric loved it; I didn't but it did make me think, so that ain't too bad. Then we rented 'Ghost World' on someone's recommendation (though I can't remember who) and it was enjoyable and quirky. Friday hub's sister and her husband came over for dinner and we caught up on the family gossip, and they talked us into watching 'American Pie 2' which was extremely funny... there were scenes that had me laughing days later just thinking about them. And it's also fun for any band geeks to watch, so I give it a thumbs-up, but leave the brain at home.
Saturday was class, which went well, though one of the students had one of those tunnel-vision migraines and couldn't make it. Ecch. Hub made some heavenly teriyaki chicken. *Homer drool*
Bob was at the beach all weekend with the Flipside people, and came back Sunday with some interesting sunburns because of spray-on sunscreen that didn't spray as far as he thought. He was exhausted. We were going to watch some more 'Cosmos' but got sucked into Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network, and he crashed hard. We left him to saw logs and went upstairs and fell asleep listening to 'Musical Starsteams'. They were supposed to play our commercial and do a sponsorship, but of course since I was listening for it I didn't hear it. I'm really hoping this was because they played it more towards the beginning of the program (it's 2 hours and we caught about the last 20 minutes) rather than the last time, which they tried to charge us for but we hadn't approved. They played it at the ass end of the show- it was the last commercial of the last commercial break. Poo.
