Christmahanukwanzaka Tree 2005 is up! Just in time, too.
Putting it up was not as awful as it's been in the past. For the last year we stored it in a closet instead of out in the garage, and somehow that made it a lot less dusty, and thus me a lot less sneezy. I went with unbreakables again, still not trusting Tiff for her second Yule... she's eyeballing that tree much too closely, and some of those glass ornaments were $20. Maybe next year. I put it up in the front cat room, since there's that great big picture window and this way I can share the backside of the tree with the neighborhood instead of the wall. So I made sure to put up my lesser favored ornaments back there so it'll look interesting. It's very blue and sparkly and wonderful (last year's pics here and here; same tree, different room).
Hub's been feeling sad, and because of this he's made baked beans and low-fat peppermint ice cream. I heart him.
