No news from Dad this morning. From what I've read about acute pancreatitis, it seems like it's not a huge deal, as far as organs fucking up goes. That is, unless it takes other organs with it, which can happen- especially to the kidneys, lungs, and heart, all of which are fairly useful. But I'm assuming that it telegraphs this, and the fact that he's in a hospital, not stoically working the back 40 and taking aspirin and growling "I'll be fine!" through gritted teeth makes me feel a little less worried about him. And it's typical that they don't feed people having this problem, since the pancreas does most of it's work during digestion. Apparently it's not unheard of for the person to not eat for like a month if the attack is pretty bad, giving the organ a little vacation by feeding the person via IV for the whole time. He's really going to hate that if that's the case, but we'll worry about that if it happens.
Some links for your amusement this morning.
Serenity the movie (as opposed to serenity the feeling of well-being) in finger-puppet form
you want tacky angel tchotchkes with snarky commentary? You got it.
Now, to decide if I want to go to yoga since I missed it Saturday, start putting up my Christmas tree, or just fret.
We saw the Harry Potter movie. Hub hated it, which wasn't really shocking because he's pretty much disliked all Harry Potter movies, but he was a good sport about it. I can't tell 'cause I read the book, but I wondered if it would've made much sense to people who didn't read the book. Yeah, I know it was a lot of book to smash into a 3 hour movie, but I know there've been other instances where it's been done well, not that I can think of any at the moment. The guys are all looking cuter and getting longer hair, looking sort of mid-career Beatles-esque. I think I'm digging the Weasley twins the most, if you were wondering. I don't even recall if they were in any of the past movies.

but the book filmed in its entirety would have been monsterous. So I understand, just wish... well heck. A miniseries would have worked!
