I went into the lion's den Thursday- I ventured into the Half Price Books where my ex works. I didn't see him, though, so I guess it wasn't all that impressive. I also looked for [livejournal.com profile] tsarina but managed to miss her too. I really looked! They didn't even have the book I was after. But even though it may seem silly, it was still an accomplishment for me. A feat of bravery. Yay me!

I went to the other Half Price where [livejournal.com profile] todfox works today, and picked up the book I wanted brand-spanking-new, but still half price. SCORE!! I also grabbed a book by Dan Savage, and a couple of books that my snooty pagan friends must prepare to sneer at me for buying. OK, ready? They're a series published by Llwellyllywelln, and each book is by a different Famous Pagan Author and covers a sabbat. There are recipes, lore, craft ideas, and such like that. And one is by the dreaded Silver Ravenwolf. But they were like $3, and I think they will be excellent for breaking that ritual writer's block that happens by every so often when I (and presumably others who write rituals, and can borrow from my library) get all the invokations down, and everyone's ready... then... something. These should be handy in providing at least ideas and inspirations for stuff to do in circle. So why do I feel so dirty?

I had a fun time chatting with Kit, if briefly. I don't know why I think it's funny that he's less weirded out by the fact that the former love of his life is having a sex marathon with her boyfriend at his (Kit's) residence than by the fact that said boyfriend has put a lot of meat in the fridge, but it's well established that Kit is much better about things like jealousy and ex-partners than I am. I also saw Laura and chatted with her a bit too, which was nice. She's going to China and Tibet and I think was picking up some travel books.

Now I'm getting ready for tonight's class on meditation and visualization. I'm getting a lot of ideas about it, and already the wordage I had written for the class has grown by about 100%. It wasn't one of my favorite classes, so it's been fun and interesting.
