austin_tycho: crater (Hello Cthulu)
Well, I went to the mall with 3 tasks. Only one was successful.

I returned my bras. The process was amazingly efficient and the staff were friendly, even though I had lost some of the tags on one of the bras. But since I had the receipt it went fine- took maybe 30 seconds.

I got my shiny ring, but it was too small. I asked 2 different jewelers to size it, but because there was opal inlay on the sides, they wouldn't do it. Well, one would have done it but it would've cost me out the ass. So I've emailed the seller and am hoping that he'll let me return it and send me a bigger one. I double-checked the email I initially sent him, and it turns out I did not specify a size. But he could've sent me the same size as the other ring I'd bought from him a week earlier, or just written and asked me for a size rather than just dart boarding it. I'm awaiting his response.

'Firefly' was $25 at Amazon for awhile, but when I got my paycheck, it'd gone up to $35. How uncool. So I visited Sun Coast, since they usually have deals, and they wanted $50. Bleh.

So we went home and made mojitos. I don't think I have the hang of it- the ones I get when I go out taste sort of like minty Sprite with a kick- I think I used too much rum. It made the rest of the evening go by pretty quickly though. We watched the last of 'Children of Dune', which I thought was very well-done. I didn't get Firefly from Amazon, but I did get the soundtrack to CoD along with a couple of recommended Thelema books.

There is a 'Cafe Thelema - Coffee Night' down near campus tonight. I haven't decided if I'm going; I'd envisioned my first intro being something like a mass or something more structured. Being an introvert kind of sucks sometimes. What if I don't know anyone and they speak to me in secret codes and I don't understand them so they take me out back and beat me up with socks full of oranges? Then I will smell like footy oranges.

They don't bite, you've met some of them, and broken bread with them at Io Pan Jam. Which is a pretty good conversation starter: "Hey, did I meet you at IPJ?" That way, when you go to Mass, you'll know some people ;))). A little better.

Thanks. It's not these folks specifically I'm worried about, more just my own social awkwardness. :P Good to know they're not biters though.
