Well, shit, I can't sleep.
The room looks really nice. We have a different ceiling fan in- one we'd bought for the duplex we rented before we moved here (bitchy slumlord wouldn't pay for it, so we took it with us, nyaah) that is light wood and white rather than dark wood and brass. Maw-in-law's futon is in there, un-peed on as far as I can tell. Monstrous white cabinet thing is against a different wall, and coffee table is replaced with a smaller end table. Big honky lamp is replaced by smaller, art-decoish green lamp.
The room looks huge. Huge and pristine. I have reversed my decision once again and now think I'd rather have the cat box in the bathroom after all. If it's gonna screw up a room, why not the one that's most convenient for keeping the thing clean anyway.
We're even thinking paint, though not any time soon because hub is officially sick of home improving, which is only fair. But since we're decorating it with light colors so far and it's a smallish room, I'm thinking of not doing the eye-searing bright colors like we've done elsewhere. Maybe a very pale sage green. I was even thinking just doing one or two walls, but hub says we should do all of them. I dunno.
I finally have somewhere to hang my degree! I didn't before because it was just a dark yucky room I never went in unless I needed something. Now it seems like a room I'd choose to spend time in as opposed to being the room where some stuff is and where the cats dump. I don't have any specific plans for the room other than for it to hold up my degree at this point, but it bears considering.
Fuck. I have to be at work in 6 hours. I think I will try harder to sleep. *nnnngggggg!*
