Oh yeah- and I ditched a lot of clothes last night. Went through drawers and closets and got a pile big enough to fill a 30 gallon trash bag. It's for the Texas Paralyzed Vets; they're always calling me and bugging me for clothes, and it's been long past time that I thin out the closet. But it made me sad. It's like throwing away my past, and it feels disloyal somehow- but there's no real reason to just keep dragging those same t-shirts around with me forever.
I also got rid of a lot of semi-business attire. My job, which I have no plans to leave, requires that I show up, and doesn't care what I wear (aside from the usual school-level 'nothing offensive/distracting') so it's all jeans and t-shirts. I kept some of it in case I need to dress up for something but most of it went. It was dusty and probably not currently fashionable, but hopefully will make someone happy.
Usually purging my clutter makes me feel good, but not so much this time. I'm not sure why. I think I'll go to the lake.
