I've gotten 3 'urgent' calls, 2 from one company and one from a 3rd. The first 2 wanted to talk to Mom, the 3rd to Dad and/or Elaine. When I asked them why they called, they refused to say, other than it was 'urgent'. They at least did not dare to ask me for Mom and Dad's phone number. They're obviously bill collectors. How they get my number, I couldn't say. Since I have a pretty rare last name, if I were feeling nice I could assume that they're looking for anyone with that last name and hoping they get lucky, since the parents screen their phone calls. What I am really hoping is not the case is that they (the parents) are listing me as a reference on whatever applications to whatever cards/accounts that they are trying to skip out on. They are planning to 'pull the pin', as my dad says, in other words- declare bankruptcy- soon, before the laws of said dad's most favorite and beloved president engineered to screw poor people who declare bankruptcy go into effect. I hope I don't get more of these calls. That is really not cool at all. I've told them not to call me anymore, and the first company agreed. The second said they would change my listing to 'relative', which sounds like they might plan to call me if they don't get what they want. I will release the wrath of the num-chucks on them.
