Said it before, it still bears repeating...
Cinnamon and comino (aka cumin) look the same in the jar. The words even look similar if you're not awake. But they still don't taste the same in oatmeal.
Here's something new- dark chocolate M&Ms may not melt in your hand, but they melt quite nicely in your oatmeal, though they turn it a pretty unappetizing color.
The Pallas camp-out is this weekend. It's looks like it's going to alternate between rainy and muggy. This is not my favorite kind of camp-out weather. In fact, I don't think it's even in the top 5. I guess we'll see how it goes. If it's really awful, I may take a side trip to Hill Country Lavender, which opens for the season on Saturday. I'm on my last bit of soap, a sliver so thin I could read a newspaper through it. And they charge a lot more to order off the website than if you get it there.
But first, off to work, to pretend to be eager and willing before I come down with debilitating something-or-other and have to leave.
