First, I have my tickets to Io Pan Jam, and my boss has given me the day off. Huzzah! They charged me a different price for the tix than what the website says they'll cost; I'm not sure if it's because I registered early or what. It's a bit more spendy than last year even with the unexpected discount, but it looks like they will be having a lot more workshops and rituals. I may or may not attend any of them; I'm just going for the nature. I'm hoping it doesn't get so hyped that it turns into another CMA/Flipside/whatever with a zillion too many people... but last year there were maybe 50 people. They can go up to 300 and still be sufficiently uncrowded as far as I'm concerned, and I can't imagine there being that many people for another couple of years.
In other news, I have a Chinese paperweight with a phoenix on it on my desk here at work. My neighbor told me that 'everyone' thought it looked like a penis. Er. Oh. Well, I like phoenixes and penes both, so why not.
