Yesterday started off with ripping cds, talking about D&D, and general slack. Then I ran out for some last-minute birthday prezzies for my little brother who turns 36 today. We've started getting each other scratch-off tickets for our birthdays, which he thinks is sort of trashy but we both agree it's a lot of fun. We took ourselves over to his place around 3 and had an early dinner at Bennigan's. I did not get the fried sandwich, so I am unreasonably proud of myself. We went back and watched MST 3K movies and played 'Settlers of Catan'. I'm liking that game; there's more of a chance element in it so it's not always obvious right off the bat who's going to win.
Rib area still bugs me, though not as much. But I asked on a chat board that had a couple of medical types on it, and the list of possibilities include: rib out of place, costochondritis (wha?), something with the gallbladder, an irritated diaphragm, irritated intercostals, pleurisy, and aliens. Wondering what intercostals are I've speculated that they are like pentecostals but instead of five of them they're inside somewhere. This doesn't help much so I guess I'll go research that.
Heh; it reminds me of a quote Bob got from a friend that amused me: "... She explained polyamory to her mother-in-law, whose response was 'That's just wrong.... It should be either multiamory or polyphilia, but this mixing of Greek and Latin roots? No. Wrong.'"
Today I think we have more D&D noodling scheduled, and maybe some frisbeeing, though it's pretty cold today. I'm sad about Johnny Carson, but
tully_monster pointed out that we have Jon Stewart. Yay!
