It somewhat pokes at my self-image, but I realized today that hub is the most regular sleeper- he goes to bed around midnight-one and gets up around 8-9am every single day, weekend or no. Me, I sometimes stay up 'til as late as 3, sometimes crash by 11. Sometimes (like this morning) wake up at 5-6 for no reason, but on other days I can lie about in bed 'til 10-11. Or I might wake up in the middle of the night, stay up for a couple of hours, then go back to sleep for a few hours. There's no pattern to it, it's like I get 1d6+4 hours of sleep, random die roll every night regardless of what I got the night before. If that says something deep about my personality (other than I'm inconstant) I don't know what it is.
I love hub because he sends me the word of the day (lubricious- lustful, lewd; or stimulating or appealing to sexual desire or imagination; or having a slippery or smooth quality) and I didn't even know he was subscribed to word of the day. And he uses 'scrumdidiliumptious' in a sentence about fruitcake and means it (yes, that Eric). And he says 'chocolate nut bar' and then giggles.
6 dark chocolate M&Ms make a bowl of oatmeal much more interesting.
Enjoy this poetic article from Mark Morford if you're so inclined. It gets a little straw-manny with some things, but I can chalk it up to artistic license.
And lastly, I'd rather not go to work today. Who is surprised?
