[oooh! Who wants to go? I do! I still want Edmund to have my babies after seeing him in 'Holy Well' and a chance to see Content on stage is always a treat too. And you can't beat the price either.]

It's an old story; it's a new story; it's a love story. VORTEX Repertory Company proudly presents a special staged reading of the new, romantic musical Persephone: The Seed. Written by B. Iden Payne nominated duo, Mick D'arcy and Edmund Pantuliano creators of The Music of Erica Zann. Joseph Campbell called for a new myth to feed contemporary needs. This reclaiming of an old story with many layers adds a new dimension of romance. The love story of Persephone and Hades balances against the grief of Demeter, contained in the form of a musical. (What if Shakespeare had written an American musical?)
The stellar cast for this reading includes Melissa Vogt as Persephone, Betsy McCann as Demeter, Content Love Knowles as Hecate, Karen Kuykendall as Baubo, Todd Porter as Hades, Stewart Johnson as Zeus, Brian Villalobos as Iacchus, Travis Glahn as Triptolymus, Steven Fay as Hermes, and Sara Smiley as Metaneir
Saturday, Jan. 8th at The VORTEX. 1pm. Free Admission.
