I updated the Word doc where I've been keeping my journal that existed since before LJ debuted. Anymore I just copy LJ into it in case a big UFO crashes into their building and destroys the on-line version. So Every few weeks I go transfer it, check for egregious spelling errors, and save it. I'm up to 1145 pages. Sure, when I quote entire articles that takes up a few but that's 98% all Miellikki all the time. And I'm leaving out all the stuff that only makes sense on the web (quiz results, pictures of stuff, etc.) so that's a pile o' words. I've been writing in it since 1994. I wonder how much of a hassle it could be to print it out and why I would want to do it anyway other than to hold the words in physical form (and have a hard copy if a little UFO hits my computer). I started this one when I was dating Dog-Boy back in 1994. That alone is embarrassing enough. Oh well.

I finally got the tree decorated. I prepared the lights Brö loaned me and got them up, then went nuts with the ornaments. I had more unbreakable ones than I remembered, but it still doesn't look the same. A lot of the glass ones were translucent and I got a big kick out of putting them in front of the lights so they glowed... none of that. But even so, it's still the best tree I'll see all year because it's miiiine.

It was Phil's birthday so we went to the Texas Land y Cattle Company last night. I had been at another location once many years ago and was unimpressed. They had more menu items this time around though and it was not bad. I had a baked potato (hard to screw up a baked potato), half a turkey sandwich (would've been better if they hadn't toasted the bread to crouton consistency, but otherwise- hard to screw up a turkey sandwich) and the 'wedge' salad. This is the second place I've seen one of these, so maybe they'll be the next frogurt. They took a head of iceberg and chopped it into 6 (maybe 8) wedges radially, so the wedges stay together. Slap a wedge on a plate and throw a bunch of stuff on top of it (in this case bleu cheese, bacon, and tomatoes). I enjoyed it. It was good to wish Phil a happy hatch day too.

Today I'm waiting on the cable guy, gonna run a couple of errands, and help Phil with some ritual writing stuff. Exciting, I know. But it's a really nice day and maybe if hub comes home we can get some frisbee time in before D&D tonight. We went to Pet Smart and bought a .99 frisbee- you can really tell the difference. Our fancy expensive pro frisbee is much heavier and flies a lot better and farther. The .99 one is not good for long throws but at the same time, it's meant to entertain dogs so what can you expect.
