I left work a little early due to a pounding headache. I think it might be allergy induced. Some Day Quil and a nap has made me closer to human.

Currently hub is teaching Bob a strange home-made chess variant where you get a certain number of points to buy pieces; so you could have all queens or whatever. He also has weird invented pieces like elephants and generals and cannons and whatnot that do different things. I am watching supportively from the sidelines and playing jacks.

Plus we're having cherry nachos for dessert- chips made of pie crust and cherry pie filling for dipping. Zowie!

Bowie the cat is falling woefully short on the coolness scale compared to his namesake. Would David Bowie try to eat his weight in cherry pie filling?! I think not.

Sounds like he's incorporated some of the Chinese Chess pieces into the game. Interesting. I'd be curious to see the rules he's worked out (yes, I love games).

It uses a lot of pieces from different variants, especially Asian chess.

Consider it the first playtestable version released. I haven't been able to do a lot of testing and there are probably lots of balance issues to work out. I'd love some infut though, so if you're inclined you can mail me at octos AT austin DOT rr DOT com.
