I'm 37. I don't count it 'til the time of my birth passes, which is has now. I did my yearly update of my user info- there weren't a ton of changes to make; unfriended people who had not friended me, noodle around with my interests, et cetera. Brö mentioned that I was closing in on 40 and asked if I had words of wisdom. Nope, nothing. I don't feel like a 37-year-old; in a lot of ways I still think of myself as an awkward girl who's just enjoying the scenery. Kirby gave me some wonderful abalone moon earrings and Brö's bringing something by in a little bit. Hub will be making me a nice meal tonight and tomorrow night is the big meal out with friends. I haven't burned up the world with any great works in the past year, but I've gotten rid of my mean ol' uterus, started singing again, and am continuing to remain in that phase that other people seem to call the 'honeymoon phase' of our marriage where I actually like my spouse and want to hang out with him a lot. Overall, I'd say Mielikki's pretty happy to be here. Thank you, everyone and everything!

Date: Nov. 17th, 2004 11:01 am (UTC)From:I know how you feel about getting older. I turn 50 next year. Whenever someone asks me how it feels, I usually answer "I don't know, how is it SUPPOSED to feel?"
Except for the occasional aches, I still feel like a kid at heart.
