I didn't get the shift. The suspense was killing me so I saw the scheduling guy was around and asked him. Turns out someone with two weeks more tenure than me has asked for it, so she'll be getting it. Fuck. He looked around at other openings, but they were almost all night shifts, or had a Saturday shift, or something like that. I want out of the unit, but not badly enough to work nights. Fucking hell. He did say that he was going to keep an eye out for me, since people quit all the time and something might come up.
