So here I sit on the abuse hotline. A police officer calls. A 30 year old guy showed up at the police station this morning because he can't remember who he is and didn't recognize where he woke up. The police can't ID him. They take him to the hospital. The hospital runs a blood test, and says they're just going to let him go since he doesn't seem dangerous. Police can't hold him for the same reason. So he's just going to wander the streets. We're taking a report but can't put a high priority on it because he doesn't seem in danger of losing his life. Jesus. I hope he bumps into someone that recognizes him.
Addendum: Another client who calls me regularly offered me $9 billion to help her because staff at the facility where she's staying put rats in her, and remove her brain every day. She said I just have to go to the bank and mention her name. Drinks are on me!
