Oh yeah, another happy thing.
Trish made me these loverly earrings to go with the Pan necklace we designed and built some time ago. And I lost one like a fluff head. I have been trying to find it for months, no luck. Finally I emailed her and meekly asked if I could come over and make myself another one. Not only did she make it for me, and charge me nothing, but she gave it to a friend who delivered it to me and I didn't have to get off my ass at all. Man, all these OTO people (Trish and Content and Jvar) are being all nice to me and dispelling the reputation as big scary meanie-heads, it's cool.
I have been on a long dry spell with jewelry, wearing nothing but teeny gold hoops in my second set of ear piercings, and my wedding band. It's been years it seems. My ears hurt a little from having the Pan earrings in all day, but I want to keep wearing them. I have so much really cool jewelry, and though I load it on for ritual, I hardly ever wear it mundanely. I love jewelry, I just have been loving it by looking at it instead of wearing it. Maybe because it doesn't go well with tie-dye t-shirts. I dunno. I may wear big gaudy necklaces with t-shirts anyway, who will give a shit?
