From an editorial aside in today's paper:
"...investors need to remember that in the end, the American economy isn't run from Washington; it runs itself.
The American economy grows because Americans, almost uniquely in the world, simultaneously spend too much, work too hard and are always looking for a way to be more efficient. The economy has prospered under both Democrats and Republicans in the past and it will do so in the future."
Huh.
