I shan't recount all my gripes about my current shift at work. But today I came in and there was a listing of open shifts. None of them looked really attractive and I almost deleted the email- but then I realized that the supervisor I disliked at least as much as the one I have currently had quit, and the shift in her former unit is now with a supervisor that I've always liked quite a lot. The shift is Monday through Friday, which would mean no more Sunday shifts, and has a variable start time. That means it could change from week to week, but it will either be 8am to 430pm, or 9am to 530pm. I don't know how me being part-time would work into that, if I'd work 3 8 hour days then a 6 hour day, or what. I would also have to move to the other room, the one with no windows but to a desk that I wouldn't be sharing with anyone else. Boy, would that be sweet! I would miss having Kirby nearby, but she knows my current supervisor and would understand. So, I'm gonna crank up the prayer/karma/magic ju-ju and if you care to help, it's surely going to be highly, highly appreciated. C'mon, gods, I'll make you some cookies or something, give a poor working girl a break here!
