You know how earlier this year I was complaining about my inner ear? This was in August, when I did some flying and got air sick. Anyway, it's worse that I thought. I was getting cabin fever and griping that we needed to go do something fun. So Eric decided it would be fun to go check out the IMAX that has been open for awhile; they're showing a 3D (yeah, with the glasses and everything) computer animation movie, with lots of different little shorts. There was a lot of wooshing and swerving and abrupt transitions... garsh but it was sure pretty. However, my inner ear was screaming for mercy within 15 minutes or so, and I ended up with my eyes shut for a majority of the movie. Got all pale and sweaty and shaky. Kept trying to tell my inner ear that I was just sitting in a chair in a big non-moving building, but it was having none of that.
Eric drove home rather smoothly, and I had all sorts of weird disassociative, almost out-of-body experiences. I wasn't asleep, and if Eric talked to me I answered him, but I felt like my soul fled my very nauseous, unhappy body. We got home around nine and I went straight to sleep. I felt bad leaving Eric to fend for himself after complaining that we hadn't been doing enough together.
I woke up around 1:30am and could not get back to sleep; I tried everything. Including waking Eric up for sex around 5-6am, which helped, and I got about 15 minutes of sleep before my alarm went off. I didn't feel like I would be able to put in 10 hours without completely fucking myself up, so I called in sick for the morning and went in at noon. Now I find out (though the info's been there for weeks) that I have tomorrow and the next day off... I would usually be ecstatic but since I only work 30 hours and those are days I would normally work, I would have to use pretty much all the leave I gained from working Christmas. I think I may call in tomorrow and ask if they need anyone for a few hours, just so I don't burn up all my leave and can save it for some Sunday when I could spend it with my honey, not throwing up.
