Weird.
Gordon has bailed on the trip. He kept going back and forth and back and forth and finally, and simply, decided his desire not to go was stronger than his desire to go. I will miss having him there. However, he reserved and paid for 2 rooms (2 queen-sized beds each) at the nearby motel, and said he would give them to me. So I have 2 free motel rooms! Woo! Time for a party! I can sniff coke off hooker butts like in 'Harold and Kumar go to Whitecastle'!
He did mention one of his big fears being that the roads will be awful and jammed with traffic. Since I'll be driving into the storm as opposed to away from it I am hoping he's wrong. Thoughts for my safe and timely arrival will be appreciated.
This could be either a tremendous pain in the ass, or it could end up being a lot of fun. I've never been through a real hurricane before- though by the time it gets to where I am it'll probably just be a lot of rain. I need to remember to pack games and other forms of entertainment (books, cocaine, goats, etc).
