Last night we went to see 'Super Size Me' since it was showing at the dollar movies. Boy, that film is disturbing. You did have to get past the guy's rather smug attitude, but even still... I found myself wanting to drink a lot of water after the movie was over for some reason. Bleah.
Earlier that day, I went to visit Nat and chatted her up. We talked about the whole surgery recovery process and how much fun it can be as well as what a pain in the ass it is. Then talk meandered to Mercury retrogrades we've known and loved, and she mentioned that this was also still near the Dog Days, which tends to make people crabby and irritable too. We also shared priestess stories, and that was nice- I don't have a lot of active priestesses that I can 'talk shop' with, and she seemed to enjoy having someone to chat with too. When her kids and husband arrived I took it as my cue to head home.
Class went well tonight. I've lost a Dedicant, but frankly I saw it coming. At least it seems to be a pretty amicable parting. I've long ago gotten past the notion that my group should be all things to all people- someone can not 'fit' and it says nothing bad about them or about me. I wish them well.
Tif has a scaly patch on the tip of her ear and on her eyebrow, and a knot of some kind on her neck. I don't know if they were always there and I didn't notice before, but I kind of doubt it. It doesn't seem to be bothering her at all and it sure hasn't slowed her down any. But she's still going to the vet tomorrow; she thinks it could be ringworm. I hope it's something that simple.
