Well, there's good news and bad news.
The bad news is, I don't get to boff for another 2 weeks. He said 4 weeks would be even better, but if I really had to I could have very gentle sex in 1 week. He said that this is the prime time when I could develop adhesions. I had 'em before and they really sucked a lot... if I do anything that caused any little tears up in there, they could bleed and cause more adhesions. He did say he used an adhesion barrier at the time of surgery but basically if I jump back into hot monkey sex now I'm pushing my luck.
But, everything else including swimming is fine. He also did sort of an 'I told you so' dance about the adenomyosis diagnosis; not at me, but he said that all those other friends of mine with regular periods who wondered why I was griping so much about difficult periods- now I have proof that mine really were "a hundred times worse" because of the adenomyosis. I'm fairly certain he was exaggerating (a lot) but you know, more evidence on the 'this was a good idea after all' pile. Following will be medical records for those interested.
Oh, and they did make me take a pregnancy test. @@
He said the fatigue is very normal and suggested I take at least another 2 weeks off, so I shall. May still go back for half-days before that but why not take my time, that's what everyone's been telling me to do. I guess there are still some last vestiges of Protestant work ethic I need to have cauterized.
