Slow and steady wins the race.

When I was in the hospital, I was very focused on getting out of the hospital. This meant proving I could function outside of a hospital, getting to a certain level of ability to perform my ADL's as they say at my job (activities of daily living) such as being able to walk, pee, shower, and so on without assistance. So I get sprung early and think "I'm in the clear!" of course not yet getting that just because I am good enough to stay out of a hospital doesn't mean that I'm back to my normal activity level. It's a subtle thing- pain isn't generally keeping me from anything. The only time I feel pain is if I twist or strain my abs past a certain point (said abs having some holes in them, I'm guessing is part of the problem there). Otherwise, it's just fatigue. So I don't stop because it hurts too much, I stop because I just run out of energy. I'm getting reacquainted with the nap.

My brain's not firing on all cylinders either. I feel like I've temporarily lost about 20 IQ points, which is annoying when trying to play Scrababble, and downright amusing when trying to learn Go.

But I still have no regrets at this point, and only complain because that's something I'm good at. My friends have been wonderful, bringing me candles and chocolate and dvds to watch. I haven't bled a single drop since I got home- and after over 9 weeks non-stop, that's pretty cool. Hub says I taste better (*blush*). I find myself pointing at tampon commercials on TV and laughing. The energy still feels like it's moving around, though there's just not a lot of it- yet.

Lavender has become one of my favorite scents.

Every time I settle somewhere, at least one of the cats settles nearby. It's sweet.

Well, time for another little nap.

This is most excellent news, I am glad things are progressing well.
