I am feeling very sorry for myself because I am working today. Not sure why; the 4th was never a big holiday for me. I think it's because I'm not getting comp for it (since it's on a Sunday and weekend holidays don't exist to the State) and because I stayed up late last night so I'm kind of sleepy. We were only gonna watch one Buffy, but the last 3 of season 5 ended in cliffhangers, and we don't have enough discipline to not watch the next one if we have it right there. So, Buffy's daid. I'd heard that (and that she gets brought back in some unbelievable way for season 6, which is not unexpected since the series title has her name in it and all) but I was really gunning for Dawn to take the big dirt nap. She bugs me. Seeing Spike sobbing was a bummer. But I think she would have made more of a mess when she died, rather than lie gracefully amidst the wreckage after falling 10 stories or whatever. Well, it's TV so no biggie. I think season 6 is when Willow goes bonkers with the magic. Angel has been excellent the last couple; they resolved Jamie's plot line in a really well-written way, and he's one I'll miss.

Dinner with Bob's family was cool. His mom looked like a cast member from 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' and she and his dad were very friendly and chatty. I like seeing people that have been married for a long time that still seem to like each other; it warms the cockles of my heart (or maybe the sub-cockles).

I forgot to mention that I got weighed at Gyno's office (along with the pregnancy test @@) and have apparently lost about 15-20 pounds since the beginning of the year. No specific diet, just trying to eat less crap and work on portion control a bit. Plus be somewhat more active. I'm trying to lose reaaaaalllly slowly, so I have a better chance of keeping it off. That averages to about 3 pounds a month, which I think I can live with.

I want to be swimming today, dangit.

I wish you could go swimming today, too. May your workday pass VERY quickly, so you can have some big fun tonight.
