Well, I was gonna get up and go work some extra hours, but after missing a bunch of sleep while waiting for the pain killers to kick in, I just didn't have it in me when the alarm went off. So I slept in 'til almost 11- it was wonderful!
Yahoo finally got their dookie together so I could mess with the calendar. I spent an absurdly long amount of time doing that. I don't even know if anyone else even looks at the thing, but I like having it as up-to-date and accurate and pretty as possible. I used to get so tired of people asking me 'when's the next ritual?' when they had been right there at the scheduling session; people don't ask me that much anymore, so I guess they are looking at the thing after all. Or some of the older members have been warning them behind my back.
Otherwise it's been a pretty quiet day. I need to clean up in the kitchen and maybe take a look at the pool. I ordered 'Curious George Goes to the Hospital' from Amazon. I remember when I was a little tyke and I had to go to the hospital and have surgery to repair a dog bite wound that was healing weird (in case any of you who have seen me in person wondered what that scar on my lip is from- there you are) someone gave me this book, and I treasured it. They even have a t-shirt with a pic of George passed out from the ether... it's on my wish-list now. Heh. H.A.Rey is the shizzle. He also taught me beginning astronomy; he has a book called 'The Stars' that has all the constellations drawn in such a way that they make sense, which makes them a lot easier to pick out. I've bought that book about 3 times now.
