Adult Swim was cool- we got to see Bob and Bean and eat pizza. Plus, there was a new Sealab 2021 episode that was pretty off-the-wall and still funny as ever. Instead of Sealab blowing up which is what usually happens at the end, the whole Earth was destroyed. And Dr.Quinn's alter ego was white and had boobies, but he was still a guy. That show just keps getting weirder.

It's been a somewhat busy day at work. I called Gyno's office to see when I can pick up my form that says how long I will need to be off for extended sick leave- they said it will be 5 business days to fill out a pretty straightforward 2-page form, but whatever- I'm just glad I started now. If I'd waited to my original pre-op (4 days before the surgery) there's no way I could have had all the paperwork in on time. Hooray for anticipating the slowness of the process, or for being anal- probably both.

I also managed to figure out which form I needed to get hub off my insurance, and put it directly in HR guy's hands (and he was dressed like more of a slob than me- I at least have Birks, and he had flip-flops. I actually think it's kind of cool, because it was so different from the image of 'Mr.So-and-so, Human Resources Coordinator' I had in my head- and I always fight against business attire in non-client-contact positions; I look forward to the day when I can come to work topless). That will take effect July 1, which means I'll see a difference in my August paycheck. Did I mention slow process?

Also, I had not written down that I had a dental appointment Wednesday... I have been picking up extra hours on Wednesdays so I asked to reschedule, and they said the next available appointment was in September. Slow!

In a bit of not slow related news, I called the hospital to see if I could get a private room. A fair amount of people's bad hospital experiences seem to involve having a roommate who is in a lot of pain, puking, having a million visitors, whatever- and that getting a private room is well worth the extra cost (which isn't even usually that much- like $20/day or something). So I called Seton NW, and after getting transferred around a bit someone told me that all their rooms are private. Well, okay then!

Yeah, my doctor is taking about the same to fill out a form for work. It seems like something the nurse could throw down in a couple minutes but I am not a doctor so...
