I pre-ordered a D&D book a few weeks ago from a guy on eBay. Theoretically I am supposed to get it as soon as it was released. Hub mentioned that he saw it in the gaming store last night, so I sent him an email asking when my book was going to be sent. He sent me back a letter right away saying he expected them in today, and would ship today. His name is gatetech-biz in case any of you nerds want to look him up. He sells new stuff for cheaper than the list price.

My mp3 player crapped out pretty early this morning, so I switched to the ambient channel on Radio Io. They play the exact same stuff as Musical Starstreams, but all day long and with less commercials, so I heart them. But the station crapped out suddenly; I checked connections, buffering, and all that with no luck. So I fired off a pissy email to them. Very shortly thereafter I got an email that said "Thanks for the quick notice- I've got people looking into it" then about 5 minutes later "All fixed- you can listen again!" and I'm getting Foresty goodness now. This is a happy thing, because I'm starting to feel really stressed about this move, and I really really don't want to be at work right now. So hooray for Io, they help me to help the helpless people in the lone star state. Whee.

Is RadioIo worth the value? Seems a bit pricey to me. What else do they have available besides Starstreams-like programming?

I'm not paying anything for it; you can sign up and pick the "I'm a cheap bastard" option (called something else, but they bury it at the bottom of the membership options). They have 16 different channels listed on the website. I originally found it through the radio tuner feature on Windows Media Player.

Howard's been through the wringer with this guy. Great prices, shit delivery.

When it was taking awhile for some of our books to come in, Howard finally emailed him... he said he had been in the hospital and the person tapped to get the orders out flaked. So (devil's advocate time) this guy's still catching up on orders from when he had been hospitalized.

Or he's a suckass. Take your pick ;)

Huh. I did assume since he said he'd ship today that he would; if he doesn't I will be wroth. I much prefer (and assume) people tell me the truth, but I have dealt with guys (mechanics and such) who promise a specific date then flake repeatedly; I would have much prefered a 'we're shooting for this date but it might be a couple days later'.

:::hgus::: I didn't mean to make you freak... I really do think he's still catching up (and it could also be that he didn't get the books in until today!)... I just wanted to let you know what experiences we got with the guy.

Oh, I ain't freaked. Just prepared to be wroth. :) I may not have to open the can of wroth if he follows through.
