The materials for the fence were delivered this morning at 8am sharp. Problem is, it's raining cats y dogs out there. Greg says that augering, jackhammering and concrete pouring would occur today to turn 8 foot steel pipes into 6 foot fence posts. I don't know how this is going to work out with the rain, and it's supposed to be worse tomorrow.

After bitching about being gouged with rusty nails yesterday I actually stepped on one, which went through my shoe and into my foot. Not deep, but enough to make me yelp. So I called my doc and they were nice enough to see me immediately for a tetanus booster. They also bathed my foot in a nice warm iodine solution that smelled faintly of saffron, which makes no sense at all. Suffice it to say it was the highlight of my day excluding the parts where my husband was around to make me feel better.

Stephen came over to hang- he's been really busy at his new job so we hadn't seen much of him lately. A good time was had- I had a really big craving for hot foods (temperature wise) so we went to Twin Lion where I had hot tea and hot and sour hot soup and hot walnut chicken. The fortune cookies were not hot, but that was okay. Stephen was fun to be with as always. Then, a soak in the hot tub was a perfect ending to a tiring day.
