Makes me think of one of my very favorite written comedy bits either, "Life Reeked With Joy." Which was comprised from a history professor's student essays over a number of years. Friggin' hilarious.

Actually, those are incredibly funny. Especially the Walt Whitman one. That kid is the next Jonathan Swift. Or maybe Dave Barry.
