I had a weird migrainey-kinda thing tonight. It started when I was at work, and by the time I was ready to go home, it had progressed to the point where my head was throbbing with every step or other movement I made. By the time I got home, I was getting sweaty and nauseous. I don't recall ever having a headache that bad. It was a real bummer, too, because Eric was feeling experimental in the kitchen (he's batting 1000, I mean the dude can cook) and Bob had dropped by for dinner. But despite attempts at self-medication, I wasn't getting any better. So just as dinner was ready I carefully took myself upstairs with instructions to come get me in about 20 minutes. What felt like 3 minutes later, Eric was asking me if I was alright, and that 20 minutes had passed. I told him that I wasn't, and I would be down after an undetermined amount of time. What felt like 15 minutes later (but turned out to be over an hour) I awoke feeling just fine.
I don't get it; I wish I knew what had happened. I was almost considering taking myself to the ER- I mean my head felt like it was actually about to split open. And the time dilation thing- I've heard of weird effects of migraines, but never that. Perhaps I gave birth to an ethereal Athena of some kind. And now Bob's gone home, Eric's crashed, and I'm wide awake. Poopypoopity poop!
