The other night I had a really bizarre dream where my once-best-friend Natalie (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
todfox's boss' wife, coincidentally) was dropped in a lake to do some task or race. I was watching from a distance, and saw shark fins, 3 of them, swim to where I knew she was and attack her. I was shocked, and somehow felt that this was my fault. I had talked her into performing the task, or something like that. So I decended from whatever high vantage point I had been watching this from, and jumped into the water. It was cloudy and wintery, so the water was pretty cold but it didn't bother me. I just went to where Natalie was, weakly thrashing in the water. I somehow managed to get the sharks to leave and hauled her up over my shoulders. She had a serious gash on one of her legs near the artery so I knew I didn't have much time. I had to walk through a building, and someone stopped to yell at me for carrying a wet person through the building. Natalie just showed her wound, and the person let us pass. I deposited her in an ambulance- which was just the back of a van with some nylon webbing suspended for the bed; no EMS guys, no medical equipment, just a driver. I looked at her to see if she wanted me to go with her to the hospital, and she looked not scared, not in pain, just very very sad. But she didn't say a word. I kissed her on the head and resolved to at least follow her to the hospital if not ride in the ambulance with her, but then I woke up.
Weird.
Last night we let Caitlin have the run of the house. I guess she had a good time, because when I came downstairs a taxidermied dove I had sitting on a table was on the floor, one wing almost chewed off, with feathers everywhere. Caitlin was nowhere to be found. I wonder how she's doing.
Me, not so hot- I feel really yucky. I have had my tubes tied and an endometrial ablation, so I don't bleed anymore (maybe once every few months) but I still have all the equipment which still goes through all the motions. I feel all nauseous and crampy. Ugh.
I finally got my leave figured out though, and discovered that the reason I was overpaid was because they took enough vacation leave to make me full-time last month. So I can transfer all that money I had stashed away in case they asked for it back. I'm still planning to do a cedar allergy study for some Christmas money though. And if I can get Eric to go, he'll have some Christmas money too, and I'll get a referral bonus. Woo-hoo!
