I called Town Lake to borrow a live trap, and they referred me back to Maya's adopters, Siamese Rescue. The first lady from there gave me 2 more numbers. The second one got me to a woman who offered to loan me a live trap. Gordon called and I asked him if he could bring over some canned catfüd to bait the trap with, and when I went upstairs to put the phone back on the base, she was crawling in the window. I lunged for the window, and instead of backing out, she leapt forward and dove under a chair. So Maya is home! She crept around a bit, then jumped on the bed for belly rubs. A good sign- I was worried her experience might make her backslide socially.
Now, I've promised an offering to Bast so time to run.
